Terms of service

Effective: [… 2026] · Version 1.0 · Magyar változat (ÁSZF)

Draft. Have these terms reviewed by a lawyer before public launch.

This is an English translation of the Hungarian Általános Szerződési Feltételek (ÁSZF). If the two versions differ, the Hungarian version prevails.

1. Provider

Digital Zombies Kft., registered office [address, Hungary], company registration number [Cg. 01-09-…], tax number […], EU VAT number [HU…], e-mail [hello@mumus.app] (“we”). Hosting provider: see the imprint.

2. Definitions

Service: the mumus web application, the “mumus – Bug Reporter” browser extension, the API and the MCP interface. Customer: the business that registers a workspace (organization). Owner: the user who acts for the customer in the workspace and may subscribe and delete. Users: everyone the customer invites (members, client guests). Content: everything the customer and its users upload.

3. Businesses only

mumus is offered exclusively to businesses (Section 8:1(1)(3) of the Hungarian Civil Code, Ptk.), not to consumers. By registering, the customer confirms that it acts in its business or professional capacity and that the person registering may represent it. Because no consumer contract is concluded, the consumer right of withdrawal and consumer dispute resolution don't apply. At checkout, the customer's tax number or EU VAT number is required wherever Stripe supports it.

4. Conclusion of the contract

The contract is concluded electronically when a workspace is registered: entering the details → accepting these terms and the privacy policy → confirming the e-mail address with the link we send. That e-mail is the confirmation under Section 6 of the Hungarian E-Commerce Act (Ektv.). Input errors can be corrected before submitting the form, and later in the account settings. The contract language is Hungarian (with this translation). We store the contract electronically; the current terms are always available on this page and can be saved and printed. Conflicting terms of the customer don't apply.

5. Service

mumus collects visual website feedback and manages it as tasks: Kanban boards, screenshots and screen recordings, attachments, comments, team and client access, notifications and an MCP server for AI coding tools. The plan contents are described on the pricing page as it stood when the order was placed. We continue to develop the service and may change features, provided the essential functions are preserved.

We aim for high availability but, without a separate SLA, don't guarantee an availability level. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. AI assistants you connect (for example Claude Code or Codex) run under your own contract with their provider and aren't part of the service.

6. Trial

Every new workspace can be used free of charge for 14 days, without a payment method, with up to 5 GB of storage. The trial ends automatically and no fee arises. If no subscription is started, the workspace becomes read-only (see section 12).

7. Prices and payment

  1. Prices are shown on the pricing page at the time of the order, in euros, net, excluding VAT. There is one plan: €49 per month billed annually (€588 per year) or €69 per month billed monthly. It includes 100 GB of storage per workspace; extra storage costs €9 per 100 GB per month.
  2. VAT: customers in Hungary pay 27 % Hungarian VAT. For customers registered in another EU member state with a valid VAT number (checked in VIES), the place of supply is the customer's country (Section 37(1) of the Hungarian VAT Act, Áfa tv.), and the invoice is issued under the reverse-charge procedure, without VAT; the customer accounts for the VAT. For customers outside the EU, the invoice contains no Hungarian VAT; any local taxes are the customer's responsibility. The customer is responsible for correct billing details and must update them in the Stripe customer portal without delay.
  3. Payment is handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) via Stripe Checkout and the customer portal, by card, SEPA Direct Debit or other methods offered. We never see or store your card details. Fees are due in advance for each billing period.
  4. Invoices: we issue an electronic invoice for every payment through Számlázz.hu, send it by e-mail and make it available under Billing. By accepting these terms, the customer agrees to receive electronic invoices (Section 175 Áfa tv.). Stripe receipts are not invoices.
  5. Late payment: if a charge fails, Stripe retries it and we notify the owner. During this grace period, the workspace keeps working; afterwards, we may restrict it to read-only until the amount is paid. We may claim default interest (Section 6:155 Ptk.) and the €40 recovery cost flat rate (Act IX of 2016).
  6. Price changes for future billing periods are announced by e-mail at least [30] days in advance. If the customer doesn't accept them, it may cancel before they take effect. A period already paid in advance isn't affected.

8. Term, renewal and cancellation

  1. Subscriptions run for the chosen billing period (one month or one year) and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.
  2. The owner can cancel at any time in the Stripe customer portal (Team & access → Billing & storage → Manage subscription). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; fees for a period already started are not refunded pro rata. [Decide: pro-rata refund when an annual plan is cancelled, yes or no.]
  3. Switching between monthly and annual billing and adding storage are prorated as calculated by Stripe.
  4. Either party may terminate with immediate effect for a serious breach, in particular unlawful use or fees still unpaid 30 days after a reminder.
  5. The owner can delete the workspace at any time (Team & access → Data & deletion); this also ends the subscription. A deleted workspace can be restored for 30 days and is then deleted permanently.

9. Storage and fair use

The storage of a plan applies per workspace. When it's full, no further uploads are possible until storage is freed or extended. “Unlimited” members and projects mean normal use by an agency or company. To protect all customers, we may limit or pause uploads for a workspace whose storage grows in a clearly unusual or abusive way (for example automated mass uploads). We inform the owner and look for a solution together, such as an add-on. Files already uploaded stay available.

10. Customer obligations

  • You are responsible for your users' accounts and actions, for keeping passwords, API and MCP tokens confidential, and for inviting only people who may see the data.
  • You only upload content you are entitled to share, and you capture third parties' personal data (for example in screenshots or recordings) only with a legal basis. You don't capture special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR) unnecessarily.
  • Prohibited: unlawful content; anything that endangers the security of the service or other customers' data (for example unauthorized vulnerability scanning or load attacks); automated mass sign-ups; reselling the service without our consent; reverse engineering beyond what the law allows.
  • Report vulnerabilities as described on the Security page.

11. Intellectual property

Content remains the property of the customer or its licensors. The customer grants us a non-exclusive right, for the term of the contract, to store, process and display the content only as needed to provide the service. The software, brand and documentation are our intellectual property; the customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service as intended for the term of the contract. We may use suggestions for improvements free of charge.

12. After the contract ends, data portability

  1. When the trial or subscription ends, the workspace becomes read-only: content can be viewed and exported, but no new tasks or files can be created. A new subscription restores full access.
  2. The owner can download a complete export (JSON, CSV and all files in a ZIP) under Data & deletion at any time, free of charge. After the contract ends, data can be retrieved for at least 30 days, and we extend this period on request.
  3. Switching (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854, “Data Act”): the customer may initiate a switch to another provider or its own infrastructure with a notice period of at most two months. Switching and data export are free of charge. Exportable data: everything listed in the export (projects, tasks, comments, activity log, members, files). Our internal security logs, password hashes and encryption keys are not exportable for security reasons. [Check with the lawyer: treatment of the annual fee when switching.]
  4. If a workspace has been read-only without a valid subscription for [6 months], we may delete it permanently after at least 30 days' notice by e-mail. Accounting records are kept for 8 years as required by the Hungarian Accounting Act.

13. Data protection

We process personal data in the content on the customer's behalf as a processor. The data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) applies and forms part of these terms. Our own processing (accounts, billing, website) is described in the privacy policy, cookies in the cookie policy.

14. Support

E-mail product support ([support@mumus.app]) on Hungarian working days is included; we usually answer within [2] working days. Custom development, integrations and migration help are offered separately.

15. Liability

  1. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for breach of contract is limited to the fees the customer actually paid in the 12 months before the damaging event, and liability for lost profit, indirect damage and consequential damage from data loss is excluded.
  2. This limitation doesn't apply to intentional breaches or to damage to life, physical integrity or health (Section 6:152 Ptk.).
  3. We make daily backups, but the customer is responsible for regularly exporting data that is important to it.
  4. We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control (Section 6:142 Ptk.), in particular outages of the internet or third-party services (for example Stripe, e-mail or AI providers), or devices connected by users.

16. Suspension

We may suspend access in whole or in part for a serious breach of these terms, a security risk, or late payment under section 7.5. Where reasonable, we notify the owner first. No data is deleted during a suspension.

17. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms by notifying owners by e-mail at least [30] days before the change takes effect. If the customer doesn't cancel before then, the change is deemed accepted; the notice will point this out. Changes required by law or for security reasons that don't disadvantage the customer may take effect sooner. Earlier versions are available on request.

18. Communication

We communicate mainly by e-mail. Notices go to the owner's registered e-mail address and count as received on the working day after sending.

19. Governing law and disputes

Hungarian law applies, in particular the Civil Code (Act V of 2013, Ptk.) and the E-Commerce Act (Act CVIII of 2001, Ektv.); the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded. The parties will first try to settle disputes by negotiation. Otherwise, the court competent for our registered office, [Budai Központi Kerületi Bíróság / Fővárosi Törvényszék], has exclusive jurisdiction. If a provision is invalid, the rest remains valid.

20. Highlighted provisions (Section 6:78 Ptk.)

The following provisions differ from common practice or from the default rules of law, and the customer expressly accepts them when registering: businesses only (3), electronic invoices (7.4), late payment and read-only mode (7.5, 12.1), automatic renewal and no refunds (8.1–8.2), upload limits (9), limitation of liability (15), suspension (16), unilateral changes (17) and choice of court (19).
